Go Native – ‘Neighbourhood Included’ Rebrand & App Campaign

Insight
Recognised leaders in the rapidly expanding serviced apartment sector, Go Native put their rebrand out to tender with the added requirement of a new website and innovative booking system. Their ambition was to invite guests to “live like a local.”

Issue
Arriving in an unfamiliar city can be overwhelming. Guests often struggle to navigate inner-city environments and locate essential services, leaving them frustrated when they should be enjoying their stay.

Idea
The creative platform was built around ‘Neighbourhood Included’, expressed through a distinctive tone of voice, rebranding, signage, and the personalised call to action: “Why book a hotel when you can Go Native?” To extend the concept, an integrated campaign and app prototype were developed. Guests accessed the app via a QR code in their welcome pack, using GPS to instantly locate nearby essentials – coffee shops, dry cleaners, restaurants, theatres, ATMs – while also sharing experiences on social media to strengthen their sense of belonging.

Impact
Launched in 2014, the rebrand, new website, and campaign positioned Go Native as an innovative e‑commerce platform that redefined the serviced apartment experience. The subsequent app release reinforced the brand’s commitment to integrating technology, design, and authentic local knowledge – transforming how guests connected with their surroundings.
